The Podcast Bunker was started in October of 2004 Why "The Bunker" ? If you were in the broadcast industry, or familiar with Top 40 Radio you know the name Joel Whitburn. Joel Whitburn has publisted collections of research with songs as far back as 1890. Joel's record collection includes every charted single and album from 1940 to the present. His collection is housed in an environmentally controlled underground vault.
The Podcast Bunker is our version of "Joel Whitburn's record vault".
Since the start of podcasting we have been storing only "The Very Best Podcasts" in The Podcast Bunker. Our motto is We're about podcast Quality, not Quantity. This web site is designed to find and promote "Only The Very Best Podcasts" taking audio Quality and the value of the content into consideration. Each and every podcast is reviewed one at a time for audio quality and content quality, only the hand selected are listed. We constantly check each podcast listed to update links, and to verify that the podcast is current.
The Background
In December of 2000 we created The Sixty Seconds Radio Network. We provided content to over 250 Internet Only Radio stations in the form of News Headlines and Global Weather forecast twice daily, In addition the Music Minute & Technology Minute on the weekends. Stations would download the content at their convenience. We had a 100 % success rate of delivering the content on time everytime. Below is a montage of the content provided to these stations. The mp3 is 7 megs. " We were podcasting in 2000, we just didn't know it ! "
